Over the past decade, Together International partnered with communities in the Mosquito Coast regions of Nicaragua to provide clean water and community health training.  Phil Wilson, water technician, and Chris Wilson, community health specialist, served as lead facilitators for the project. Twelve communities successfully installed bore hole water wells, which are sustainably managed by local water committees.

Why water? Diseases from dirty water kill more people every year than all forms of violence. 43% of those deaths are children under five years old. Clean water also helps keep kids in school, especially girls. Less time collecting water means more time in class.
